Editorial recap

With a full preseason, Jordan returned at full strength and led the Bulls to one of the greatest campaigns of all time. Chicago finished 72-10, then the NBA record for regular-season wins, and found a near-perfect balance between scoring, defense and competitive discipline.

Jordan was at the center of everything: he won his eighth scoring title, regular-season MVP, All-Star MVP and Finals MVP, and led the team to its fourth championship of the decade. Dennis Rodman's arrival and the maturity of the historic core further enhanced his ability to control the biggest stages.
